Brant has been so blessed to serve congregations of all shapes and sizes across these United States.  He began ministry as an Associate Pastor in a large church outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.  From there the Lord called he and Karen to plant a church in Mobile, Alabama, where they started with one person and ten years later left a vibrant community of almost 200. They then went to Mesa, Arizona, where for 17 years Brant was Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian Church, preaching, overseeing multiple staff, and doing front-line ministry in a transitioning area downtown.

In 2015 it seemed timely to step aside from ministry for a season, and for one year Brant was the Executive Director for a non-profit in Scottsdale.  It was a great position, but it wasn't what Brant was made to do, and after a year later he was called to Community Presbyterian Church in Cambria, California.  This, too, was a wonderful time, but apparently God wanted Brant back in Arizona, as he became pastor of Covenant Church in May of 2019.

Brant is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College, Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Columbia Theological Seminary (Th.M, D.Min.).  He has written over a dozen books and studies, all of which can be found online.  He and Karen have two wonderful grown children, two wonderful grandchildren, and a basset hound named Elvis. When not spending time with family Brant enjoys reading, golf, pickleball, and going to the gym.
